AINOA, which opened its doors in 2013, is a popular shopping centre at the heart of leafy Tapiola, in Espoo. In 2017, the shopping centre welcomed more than 5 million visitors, and the upward trend in visitor numbers is showing no signs of slowing down. With the extension completed in March 2017, the number of businesses in the shopping centre rose to 50, while the space available for rent increased to 30,000 square metres. AINOA's anchor tenants are Stockmann, K-Supermarket, Alko, H&M, Lindex, Stadium and Academic Bookstore. The extension project is slated for completion in October 2019, after which the shopping centre will cover 50,000 square metres and house more than 120 specialist stores and restaurants. AINOA will be a central part of Finland's largest pedestrian centre, complete with shops and services. Thanks to its direct connection to Tapiola metro station and 2,000-space parking facility, the shopping centre is also a transport hub, which will be complemented by a public transport terminal in early 2019.
